Most playlist exporters start the same way: hand a third-party website full OAuth access to your Spotify account, then find out the free tier stops at a few hundred tracks. This one never asks for that. It reads the playlist that is already on the screen in front of you, inside your own browser. Open a playlist, an album or Liked Songs on open.spotify.com and click Export. You get one row per track: position, title, artists, album, duration, date added, and the Spotify links for the track, the artists and the album. Spotify's tracklist is virtualized — only about thirty rows exist in the page at any moment — which is why exporters that simply read the page truncate long playlists. This one reads the list's own row count first and keeps collecting until it has every row, showing the running count as it goes. Large Liked Songs libraries come out whole, not just the first screen. Made for Excel CSV files are written with a UTF-8 byte order mark, so Korean, Japanese, Cyrillic and accented artist names open correctly in Excel instead of as mojibake. Quoting follows RFC 4180, and a title that starts with = + - or @ is escaped so Excel cannot run it as a formula. If you would rather not think about CSV import settings at all, export a real .xlsx workbook instead — it opens identically in every language version of Excel, in LibreOffice and in Numbers. Use the arrow next to the button to pick Excel, JSON, or a copy you can paste straight into a spreadsheet.
