PlayerTube is a free browser extension that is used for editing and changing up the style of the current YouTube player to a more older (and better) look. PlayerTube provides lots of features & options that can change the YouTube player's functionality and/or look, each can be enabled or disabled from it's extension menu. Users can customize the style of their YouTube player and share it across the web for others to use with custom theming. PlayerTube provides a whole page dedicated to it's custom themes feature so users can jump right in without looking up a YouTube tutorial. Latest update (v1.12): * Working on "restoring" the YouTube embed UI. This new UI uses an entirely new HTML structure, meaning any of the changes PlayerTube makes already can not be used with this new UI. I have another concept for restoring the older UI, but it would require a lot of work. (pt-delhiembed-alt.js) Any other workarounds that do get discovered, please let me know by sending in a GitHub issue. (This all relates to #74 - "[ Bug ] YouTube's New Embed UI") * Also I ranted about the new embed UI in a comment within said issue number basically saying it's pretty bad, buggy and would be a slap in the face if it were put onto the watch page for YouTube and not just for embeds. * Fix issues when scrolling in fullscreen * Added option descriptions to all PlayerTube options & minified option titles * Added the "Minify settings menu" option as requested by #82 - "[ Feature Request ] Option to Make Settings Menu Less Cluttered" * Added a toggle for the "Altered or Synthetic Content" popup for videos that use said disclaimer * Fix #81 - "[ Bug ] Settings Font Size Changes in Fullscreen" * Replaced Node.js for Bun for building process * Removed all Project V3 stuff--use StarTube instead * Slight CSS adjustments * Improvements to GitHub issue templates
