Planet Social Redirector: Broken Page Rescue
Overview
Broken pages, found and fixed: see where each bad link lives, the page it was meant to be, and set a redirect in one click.
New in 1.9.3 Access is asked for, not assumed. Installing now warns about nothing. The popup explains in one short card that catching a broken page means letting the extension see the pages you open, and you decide; settings explains it further and turns it off again in one click. The audit bar, the Cerebro dataLayer monitor, Autopilot and the listing checklist all run on the page you are looking at when you click, with no standing access at all. The install dialog also lost the line about reading your browsing history, because the permission behind it is no longer needed. With watching off, the mission log says the pods are not on patrol rather than "all quiet", because an empty log should never read as a healthy site when nobody is looking. Features that do need access now say so instead of quietly reporting nothing. Cerebro keeps its feed when you move to the next page, and has a refresh button that rereads the live dataLayer. Every panel the extension draws is now built as text rather than parsed as markup, so a page whose title contains markup is shown, never run. Planet Social Redirector watches the pages you visit and catches the broken ones: 404s, server errors and dead links. Then it helps you fix them. WHAT IT DOES • Mission log: every broken page you land on, with the page that linked to it. • Likely meant: the Pods read the site's own sitemap and name the page a broken address was most likely meant to be (the same words in a different order, singular and plural, a file ending, a typo), and tell you why. • One click redirect: send a broken address to the right page in this browser, applied natively by Chrome with no page injection. • Real fixes for everyone: export your rules as 301 redirects for WordPress (the Planet Social Redirector plugin) or Apache (.htaccess), so every visitor and search engine gets them. • An honest SEO audit, on demand: title width, meta description, alt text and headings, measured on the page, plus a link check that adds broken links to your log. • AI brief: a ready written brief about the site in your tab for Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, with each broken page and its likely fix. • Error rescue (optional, off until you turn it on): send a tab that hits a broken page to your fallback page. • Presence: a checklist for keeping your business listing the same across 11 directories. • Cerebro: a live view of a page's analytics dataLayer, for checking your tags. WHAT STAYS PRIVATE Everything the extension records stays in your browser. It sends nothing about your browsing to Planet Social Marketing or anyone else. Its own requests are: the sitemap of a site where a broken page was logged, fetched from that site; the link check you start; the WordPress connection you set up yourself; and a weekly license check for Pro keys. FREE AND PRO Free: everything above, with 3 redirect rules. Pro, a license from planetsocialmarketing.com: up to 300 redirect rules, CSV export of the log, and Autopilot, which fills a directory's listing form from your profile and never presses submit. Map your whole site, not just the pages you visit, with the Pods Console at planetsocialmarketing.com/pods-console.
