Sadly it won't work on links in instagram post descriptions.

I love it. It's very nice for when accessing a list of links from sites like GitHub in raw view, where it's a flat text document. I wish that it would somehow alter the page to underline all links so they stand out more, and if there was a way to single-click the link rather than double-clicking it.

It does work as announced :-) Any chance that we could have in the config options which event should trigger the script? I.e. instead of double-click, any of the ones here https://www.w3.org/TR/DOM-Level-3-Events/#events-mouse-types or here https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Events I would personally love to be able to use a single right-click instead of double left-click (my web app already uses double left-click for something different).

incredibly useful. doesn't work on links within parentheses, or that have periods right after them, but i love it nonetheless

Unfortunately that's an unsolvable issue. Periods and parentheses can appear as part of a URL, so an addon cannot possibly tell if the parenthesis/period is part of the URL or of the surrounding grammar. People should leave spaces between links and any surrounding text if they would like tools like this to work on their writing.
