Text rendering issue

There is no visible text on the map, only nodes and the search box. Upon selection, text appears in the very corner of the window. It is not displaced; appears at x,y=0,0 (top-left) and not beside each node. It prints incomplete, like: "Gul... Side... Ph... Notic... Erro... Occurre... Interna... Serve... ".

Tested on:
Chrome 54.0.2840.90 (64-bit) running Elementary OS on a Dell Latitude E5420m.

Driving directions

can't get clear directions for driving directions from hwy 87 at elizabethtown from there to Galatia Presbyterian church between fayetteville and raeford. Have three cars in caravan and need clear directions
