After installation, refresh any conversation tabs that were already open. 🧩 Pick a format for your next step - PDF for reading, printing, or sharing; - Markdown for notes, editors, and reusable context; - Word for editing a draft; - formatted, plain text, or Markdown copy for pasting elsewhere. ➤ Keep useful structure Supported output retains headings, lists, tables, links, and code blocks. PDF adds syntax colors for recognized programming languages and renders equations. Remove irrelevant turns before making a file, without deleting them from the source. 🔒 Processed in your browser Processing uses your existing session and creates files locally. No developer server receives your discussions. There is no product account, cloud sync, or analytics. The only saved preference is the getting-started tip dismissal. You decide where downloads and copied text go next. 🖼 Images and generated files Include images is on by default: supported pictures and static visuals are prepared automatically. Turn it off for text-only output. Available generated files and selected attachments can accompany the result in a ZIP. The source-page link is off by default; cited links inside answers remain separate. 📌 Working with longer conversations 1. The local reader follows the active branch beyond messages mounted on screen. 2. Alternative regenerated answers are not merged into one transcript. 3. If the source changes, processing stops for review. This chat saver does not collect your history unattended or modify the original messages. ❓ How to export chat from Claude without the whole discussion? Choose a single response or Selected messages. Download in your chosen format. Claude Exporter also copies the selection as formatted text, plain text, or Markdown, without making a separate attachment. Can I download AI chat content from every conversation at once? No. This is not a bulk chat downloader. Open the page you need. Supported regular and Cowork discussions can be saved individually, without collecting unrelated history in the background. How are uploaded documents handled? Use Include images and the ZIP option for available files. Some uploads provide extracted text, not the original PDF or Word binary. The package labels extracted text; it never claims a reconstructed document is the unchanged original. What is left out? Thinking and tool activity are omitted. Interactive widgets become supported static content, not running applications. Claude Exporter is for readable results, not a backup of internal platform objects. Check missing-content notices before sharing. Is this an official product? No. The claude exporter extension is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or provided by Anthropic.
