Overview

A small browser pet that lives on your pages and reminds you to take a break.

Short description: A small creature that lives on your pages and reminds you to take a break. Detailed description: pjiu is a tiny companion that lives above the page you are reading. Every 5–60 minutes (5 by default) it crosses the screen, pauses to say one short line, and exits the other edge. It never covers content, never interrupts typing, and never asks you for attention. - Lives on any website, but never blocks clicks or selection - Fully transparent while it is away - Reminds you to look away from the screen - Pet it, feed it thoughts, and let it keep a local journal - Reads only the text you explicitly drag onto it, and saves it locally - Three original animal characters ship in v1: a cat, a dog, and a rabbit . Each has 8–10 unique actions on top of the shared set - Pro subscribers drag selected text straight onto the pet to feed it — saved locally only. Every future feature ships to subscribers at no extra cost (custom character creation is coming soon) - Pro starts with a 7-day free trial — cancel before it ends and you are not charged - Human characters ship as an experimental beta and are not a paid feature - No account, no tracking, no network requests unless you enable a subscription Category: Fun Language:English (primary) Permission justification (for review) - `host_permissions: <all_urls>` — the pet must be able to appear on any page the user is reading. The extension renders an overlay; it does not read or modify page content. - `storage` — locally stores settings, pet state, and the journal queue. - `alarms` — schedules the rest reminder without a persistent background process. - `offscreen` — writes the user's journal into the folder they explicitly chose. - No `tabs`, `cookies`, `history`, `webRequest`, or `scripting` permissions. Privacy See `PRIVACY.md`. The extension makes no network requests unless the user activates a subscription or configures their own AI endpoint. Custom character. cards stay on the device; the photo used to make one is processed by the user's own AI provider, never by pjiu.
