Moye — Markdown Reader

A private, read-only Markdown reader with local files, public URLs, safe diagrams and optional offline caching.

Give your words room to breathe. MoYe provides a focused, read-only Markdown experience in a full browser tab—no account or server required. Open local files or authorize a folder for safe relative images and nested document links. Read public Raw URLs with explicit site access. Enjoy tables, task lists, bounded syntax highlighting, code copy, a heading outline, source view, light/dark themes, and English or Simplified Chinese. Optionally enable context-menu opening, per-site raw-text auto-preview, visible-tab refresh for real file handles, and recent reading with position restoration. Local file-URL preview is configured on by default, but still requires manually allowing Chrome file-URL access and optional permissions. File pickers do not require that switch. If Chrome downloads a file instead of producing a raw page, use the picker or Raw URL entry instead. Locally bundled Mermaid and KaTeX render diagrams and math with safety budgets and source fallbacks. Print or save a PDF through Chrome's print dialog. Offline caching is off by default; opt in to store eligible public remote Markdown text locally, limited to 20 documents/20 MiB/7 days, with explicit old-copy opening and deletion controls. No document text is persisted by default, no local content is uploaded, and there is no telemetry. Every remote image origin needs active consent. Recent reading stores metadata/real handles only; offline body caching has separate consent. Remote requests omit login credentials. Private repositories and SSO are not supported. GitHub adaptation supports immutable 40-character commit links and existing Raw URLs; copy the final Raw URL for ordinary branch links rather than guessing slash-containing refs.
