AdZap: Per-Site Ad Blocker
Overview
Zap ads on the sites you choose. Blocks ads and trackers only where you switch it on.
AdZap blocks ads and trackers only on the websites you choose. It starts switched off: nothing is filtered until you zap a site, and every site you haven't zapped stays exactly as it was. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a site whose ads or trackers you want gone. 2. Click the AdZap bolt in the toolbar and press ZAP ADS. The page reloads with blocking on for that site, and the button shows ZAPPED ✓. 3. Changed your mind? Press "Unzap this site", or Alt+Z, and the site goes back to normal. Zapping example.com also covers its subdomains, such as news.example.com. Zapping news.example.com covers only that subdomain. WHAT IT BLOCKS ON A ZAPPED SITE • Ad requests: 57,323 rules compiled from EasyList • Tracking and analytics requests: 56,296 rules compiled from EasyPrivacy • Common share buttons, live-chat widgets, and push-notification and newsletter pop-up scripts: 51 rules • Leftover empty ad spaces, which AdZap hides Blocking is done by Chrome's built-in blocking engine. The toolbar badge and the menu show an estimate of blocked requests: on this site, all time and over the last 7 days.
