Open, copy, or download an available YouTube transcript in the format you need.

Pixl Scribe turns an available YouTube transcript into a file you can use in your work. Open a video, click Pixl Scribe, and choose your export format. The extension opens the transcript for you. Copy the text or download it as plain text, Markdown, JSON, SRT, or VTT. Include or remove timestamps for text formats; caption formats always retain timing. The extension reads only the transcript on the YouTube tab you choose. Transcript text stays in your browser. There are no ads, account signups, analytics, background scans, or transcript uploads. A local counter tracks the 25 free exports available each month. Pixl Scribe is made by Pixl Envy and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google. Only videos with an available transcript can be exported.
