Overview
Capture, attribute & decode every Shopify web pixel — see what each sends, to whom, and which events fire. Free, by EcomIQ.
PixelIQ is a free Chrome DevTools panel that captures, attributes, and decodes the network traffic and analytics events emitted by Shopify web pixels — custom and app — so you can see exactly what your store's tracking is doing. Shopify loads a dozen pixels at once: custom pixels run in sandboxed iframes, app pixels run in web workers, and the Network tab shows a wall of opaque "web-pixel-1234567" requests with no names. PixelIQ turns that noise into a clean, labeled, decoded feed. WHAT IT DOES • Pixel names, not ids — reads Shopify's pixel config to label every request by its real admin name and type, instead of an opaque numeric id. Filter the whole feed to one pixel. • Decoded payloads — automatically decodes common pixel payload formats into readable key/value tables, including batched events. • Vendor classification — labels each request with the analytics, advertising, or tag-management service it is talking to, color-coded at a glance. • Event & dataLayer capture — hooks the Shopify Customer Events bus and dataLayer pushes across every frame, including a custom pixel's sandboxed iframe on checkout, where other tools go blind. • Checkout & all frames — attributes sandbox pixel pushes back to the pixel that fired them. • Export — save the captured feed to JSON or HAR. WHO IT'S FOR • Merchants & operators — confirm conversions fire once, with the right value, before they hit your ad platforms and reports. • Agencies & freelancers — audit any store's pixel stack in minutes, with no setup. • Developers — debug custom pixels fast, including on checkout. PRIVACY PixelIQ makes no network calls of its own. Everything it captures stays in your local DevTools session and is never sent anywhere. No account, no tracking, completely free. PixelIQ is a free tool from EcomIQ (https://ecomiq.tools), makers of CollectionsIQ.
