Overview

Web page pixel ruler

Pixel Ruler An extension created to solve a common need among front-end developers and designers: quickly measuring areas of a web page. With Pixel Ruler, you can measure the dimensions of any element on the page where the extension is active. ✨ Features: 📏 Measures width and height in pixels. 🔄 Automatically converts from px → rem. 📋 Automatically copies the final measurement value to the clipboard. 🧩 Displays the result in the format: w: 0px | h: 0px W = width H = height 🧑‍💻 How to use: Activate the extension in the Google Chrome tab; Click and hold the left mouse button on the area you want to measure; Drag to define the area. When you release the mouse button: The measurement is completed; The value is automatically copied to the clipboard. 📐 Units of measurement: px → pixel rem → root em The conversion is based on the page’s root font-size value (usually 16px). ⚙️ Extension behavior: When activated in a tab, it remains active until manually deactivated or until the page is reloaded. Whenever the page is reloaded, the extension will be automatically deactivated. It is possible to activate and use the extension in multiple tabs at the same time. However, to deactivate it, you must do so individually in each tab.
