Pip is an AI assistant that lives in your browser's side panel and works on the text in front of you. You bring your own OpenRouter API key, so you pick the models, you see the real price, and there's no subscription in the middle. WHAT IT DOES - Chat in the side panel with any model on OpenRouter — Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Llama, and the free ones too. Replies stream in as Markdown, with code blocks, tables, and math rendered properly. - Switch models mid-conversation. A searchable picker shows each model's context window and its input/output price, so you're never guessing what a message costs. - Highlight text on any page and act on it: "Ask Pip" drops the passage into a chat so you can question it, or "Read aloud" speaks it with a text-to-speech model and voice you choose. - Attach images and PDFs to a message and ask about them. - Regenerate a reply without losing the old one — page between versions like drafts. - Keep working. Replies run in the background, so closing the side panel doesn't cancel them, and the same conversation is there when you reopen it or pop it out to a full page. BRING YOUR OWN KEY Pip uses your personal OpenRouter API key. You're billed by OpenRouter at cost for what you actually use — including plenty of free models — instead of a flat monthly fee to us. Add your key once and you're set. PRIVACY - Your API key is stored encrypted on your device and is only ever sent to OpenRouter to authenticate your own requests. - The only text that leaves your browser is what you choose to send — a message you type, a passage you highlight, a file you attach — and it goes straight to OpenRouter to answer you. - Pip does not track the pages you visit, log your activity, or run analytics.
