Дані лише локально, без стеження. ## Detailed description — English PinMarks saves not just a page, but the exact place on it. Reading a long article, documentation or a forum thread and need to come back to one paragraph? Select the text (or just scroll to it) and press Alt+Shift+M, use the right‑click menu "Add a mark here", or click "Mark this spot" in the popup. Later, click the mark and PinMarks opens the page, scrolls to that spot and briefly highlights it. Robust anchoring • Each mark stores the quoted text with surrounding context, a CSS path to the element and the scroll position. • Restore tries the text first, then the element, then the relative scroll position — so it still works when banners, ads or comments shift the layout. Organize • Marks for the current page and all marks grouped by site • Search by name, note, page title, URL or quoted text • Rename, add notes, delete • Badge with the number of marks on the current page • Optional small markers in the page margin • Export / import as JSON (backup or move to another computer) • English and Ukrainian interface, light and dark theme Privacy first • All data is stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local). • No accounts, no servers, no analytics, no remote code. • No access to websites by default: the extension touches a page only when you invoke it. Автопрокрутка в нових вкладках — необов'язковий дозвіл, який можна надати або відкликати в налаштуваннях. ## Single purpose EN: PinMarks lets the user bookmark a specific location within a web page (with an optional note) and later return to and highlight that exact location. UK: PinMarks дозволяє користувачеві зберегти закладку на конкретне місце всередині веб-сторінки (з нотаткою) і пізніше повернутися до цього місця з підсвічуванням. ## Permission justifications (paste in Privacy practices tab) - **storage** — Saves the user's marks (URL, page title, quoted text, element path, scroll position, note) and settings locally in chrome.storage.local. session storage remembers which newly opened tab should scroll to which mark. - **contextMenus** — Adds the "Add a mark here" item to the page/selection right-click menu. - **activeTab** — Gives temporary access to the current tab only when the user clicks the toolbar button, uses the context menu or the keyboard shortcut, so the extension can read the selection/scroll position and scroll to a mark. Avoids broad host permissions. - **scripting** — Injects the extension's own bundled script (content.js) into the active tab on demand to capture the spot, scroll to it, highlight it and draw optional margin markers. No remote code. - **Optional host permissions (http://*/*, https://*/*)** — NOT granted at install. Requested only if the user enables "Auto-restore" in Settings, so that when a mark is opened in a new tab the extension can scroll to it automatically (activeTab does not cover tabs opened programmatically). Without it, the user clicks the toolbar icon on the opened tab and the spot is restored. Can be revoked any time. - **Remote code:** No, I am not using remote code. All JS is in the package. ## Data usage (Privacy practices → Data usage) - What user data do you collect? → **Nothing checked.** (Marks stay on the device; the developer does not collect or transmit any data.)
