Pingle – Repeating Reminders
Overview
Repeating reminders with their own timers, sounds and desktop notifications. Stand up, drink water and rest your eyes on schedule.
Pingle helps you keep the small habits that matter during a long day at the screen. Set a reminder to stand up, drink water or rest your eyes, choose how often it repeats, and Pingle will ping you on schedule while you work. No accounts. No setup. No clutter. Just friendly nudges, right on time. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the Pingle icon in your toolbar and choose "+ New". 2. Give your reminder a name, add an optional note, and pick how often it repeats. 3. Choose a sound, or none, and save. That's it. Pingle comes with two sample reminders, switched off, so you can turn one on and try it straight away. IDEAS TO GET STARTED • Stand up and walk: every hour • Look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds: every 20 minutes (the 20-20-20 rule for tired eyes) • Drink a glass of water: every 45 minutes • Check your posture: every 30 minutes • Take a few deep breaths: every 2 hours FEATURES • Create as many reminders as you like, each running on its own timer • Any interval from 1 minute to 12 hours, with one-click presets (5m, 20m, 30m, 1h, 2h, 4h) • Desktop notifications that show the reminder's name and your note • Five built-in sounds: Chime, Bell, Marimba, Bubble pop and Digital beep, with volume control and preview • Sound on or off for each reminder • Switch any reminder on or off with one click. Reminders that are off never fire. • Edit a reminder's name, note or sound without resetting its timer • Live countdown to each reminder's next ping • Toolbar badge shows how many reminders are active • Light and dark mode • Up to 25 reminders can be set up PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account or sign-up • No ads, analytics or tracking • No network requests at all • Your reminders are stored only on this device, in Chrome's local extension storage • Just four permissions, each needed for a core feature TIP Not seeing notifications? Make sure notifications for Google Chrome are allowed in your system settings (macOS: System Settings → Notifications → Google Chrome; Windows: Settings → System → Notifications) and that Focus or Do Not Disturb is off.
