Pikola - Fantasy Basketball Draft Assistant

Live bids, picks and nominations for Yahoo fantasy basketball auction and snake drafts, priced to your roster and the money left.

Your draft changes. Pikola changes with it. Pikola sits beside your Yahoo draft room in Chrome's side panel, reads the room as it runs, and tells you the number to type. Not a rankings app. A rankings app says a player is the 14th best in the pool. Pikola says he is worth $37 to the roster you actually have, with the money you actually have left, against the teams actually in the room, and that at $38 you should let someone else have him. AUCTION DRAFTS One word and one number, readable from across the room: Bid $32. Amber as the bidding nears your limit. Stop once it is past. You're winning while the bid is yours. Under it, your limit, where the bidding stands, and three plain lines on why. • A limit for every player on the board, refreshed with every sale • Who to nominate when it is your turn, and why: buy him, make rivals spend, test the price, or not yet • Every team's money and open spots, and who can still outbid you late • Your plan from here: who to buy next and what each is worth to you • Cheap upside bets for the last spots; $1 spots kept for the waiver wire SNAKE DRAFTS The best player left is not always the best pick for you. Pikola ranks the board by what each player does for your roster, weighs who will still be there at your next pick, and says who to take. • On the clock: the pick, why, and what he fills • Between picks: your next pick, how far away it is, who survives to it • A value faller the room let slide, a run on centres, a pick that would strand a roster slot: each named • Your pre-draft ranking in the room's own spelling, to paste into Yahoo MY TEAM Each category as a word and a meter, Strong to Weak, with your chance of winning it in a week. "Skipping" means the plan is giving one up to win the others. Every team's money and open spots. Once every roster is full, Results ranks the room in the order the engine expects it to finish. HOW IT DECIDES A player's value is the value of the best rosters you can still build with him, minus the best you can build without him. That depends on your roster, your cash, what the room can still spend, who is left, and how this room pays. Pikola recomputes it every sale. Nothing is learned from one strange price, and nothing is fetched during a draft: it runs in your browser. WHAT IT NEEDS • Yahoo Fantasy Basketball, auction or snake, standard nine categories • Chrome on a computer • One payment ($5), no subscription. Sign in with Google or an emailed code. Mock drafts work too, so you can try it before your real draft. It never places a bid or a pick for you. You type them into Yahoo yourself. Pikola is an independent fantasy basketball tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Yahoo.
