PIIDrop catches every paste, drop, and upload on ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI chat sites, shows you the personal data inside, and swaps it for placeholders like [Person 1] and [Email 1] in one click. Nothing is sent until you press Send. No more copying a document into a scratch file, scrubbing it by hand, and hoping you caught every name. HOW IT WORKS Install it, open your AI chat, and work the way you already do. The moment you paste text, drag in a file, or attach one with the site's own paperclip, PIIDrop gets there first. A small window opens with everything it found. You decide what gets replaced, then press Send. If the scan comes up empty, it says so and hands your content straight through. WHAT YOU GET • Nothing is uploaded to be checked. Pattern matching and a small AI model both run on your machine, so your text is never sent anywhere. • Answers that still make sense. The same value always gets the same placeholder, so "[Person 1] emailed [Person 2] about the [Organization 1] contract" keeps its shape and the chatbot keeps the plot. • Real names back when you need them. Hover a placeholder in the reply to see the value behind it, or press one button to copy the whole answer with the real details filled back in. That happens locally too. BUILT TO BE TRUSTED, NOT JUST QUICK • It admits what it cannot read. An unsupported file is refused out loud, with the choice left to you, instead of being quietly waved through as safe. • It knows an order number from a credit card. Checksums are verified where the format has one, so you are not clicking past false alarms all day. • It works in English and German, and it bends to your job.
