Overview

The local-first phrase launcher that puts the right phrase first.

The right phrase, before you search. PhraseCrate is a private, local-first text expander and phrase launcher for writing across the web. Save a phrase once, then insert it in two ways: • Type a shortcut you remember, then press Space or Enter. • Press Command/Ctrl + Shift + K, search, and press Enter. CONTEXT RANK PhraseCrate learns where you use each phrase. Phrases used often on a site rise to the top when you return to that site. Context Rank uses only the current website hostname, insertion counts, and last-used times. Everything stays in your browser. On first launch, PhraseCrate clearly explains this local data use and starts only after you choose Enable PhraseCrate. SAFE FILL FIELDS Add fields such as {{name}} or {{company}} to a phrase. Before insertion, PhraseCrate shows a review form with values predicted from your local history, followed by possible values found on the current page. Values used on the current website rank first. Suggestions are never selected automatically or transmitted. Only values you explicitly confirm and insert are saved locally for future predictions, and any learned suggestion can be forgotten individually. PhraseCrate shows the completed phrase for review and never sends your message. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account • No cloud storage • No AI generation • No analytics or tracking • No phrase content, page content, or learning data sent to external APIs • JSON backup and restore FREE AND PRO Create and use up to 15 phrases for free. PhraseCrate Pro is a $19 one-time purchase that removes the phrase limit and includes a license for up to three devices. Checkout and license verification are handled by Polar; PhraseCrate never receives payment card details. MADE FOR REPEATED WRITING Use PhraseCrate for email replies, introductions, follow-ups, scheduling links, addresses, support responses, prompts, code fragments, and anything else you type repeatedly. SUPPORTED INPUTS PhraseCrate supports standard text fields, text areas, and common content-editable fields. Some websites with custom editors may have limited support. Chrome internal pages and the Chrome Web Store do not allow extensions to insert content. WHY PHRASECRATE NEEDS WEBSITE ACCESS PhraseCrate runs on webpages so it can detect your shortcuts, open the phrase launcher, suggest possible fill-field values when you choose a fill-in phrase, and insert the phrase you confirm into the active text field. Page suggestions are processed temporarily on your device and are not stored or transmitted. Your phrases stay in your browser. No account. No cloud.
