Overview
Auto-arrange phpMyAdmin Designer tables into a clean grid.
phpMyAdmin Designer Auto Arrange helps developers who use phpMyAdmin’s Database Designer on a local server (http://localhost/phpmyadmin/… or http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/…). What it does - Adds a floating Auto Arrange button on the Designer canvas. - Optionally arranges tables automatically when you open the Designer (toggle in the extension popup). - Uses foreign key relationships from phpMyAdmin’s own config to place highly connected tables (“hubs”) closer to the center, and more isolated tables toward the outside. - Uses real pixel width and height of each table box to avoid overlaps, with extra horizontal spacing when the window is wide. - Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+A to arrange the current tab. What it does not do - It does not send your database schema or any data to external servers. - It does not modify MySQL: it only changes on-screen positions in the Designer (remember to use phpMyAdmin Save page if you want to keep the layout). Permissions (why we need them) - localhost / 127.0.0.1 phpMyAdmin URLs — so the extension can run only where you use the Designer. - storage — saves your popup preference (e.g. auto-arrange on load). - activeTab — used when triggering arrange from the extension UI in the active tab.
