Overview
Build a heraldic design brief from meanings, symbols, colors, styles, and an optional motto.
Turn a vague crest idea into a clear, reusable creative brief from your browser toolbar. Choose the kind of emblem, the qualities it should express, a main and supporting symbol, its composition, palette, finish, and an optional short motto. Crest Brief Builder combines those choices into a focused English art direction you can copy into your preferred creative workflow. Features: - Four use cases: family, fantasy house, guild or faction, and personal emblem - Curated heraldic meanings, symbols, compositions, palettes, and finishes - Optional exact motto wording - One-click brief copying - Five “Surprise me” starting points - Local draft persistence - Optional handoff to Coat of Arms Maker with the brief prefilled The extension requests no Chrome permissions. It does not read visited pages, browsing history, tabs, or page content. It contains no remotely hosted code. Your draft stays in the extension's local browser storage unless you explicitly click “try the online crest maker,” which opens coatofarmsmaker.org and transfers the brief in a browser-only URL fragment for local prefilling. This tool creates ideas for original decorative emblems. It does not research ancestry, verify inherited arms, or grant an official coat of arms.
