PhishGuard helps you spot phishing attempts before you click. Highlight any suspicious text on a webpage or in an email — a link, a sender's message, a "verify your account" prompt — and PhishGuard analyzes it instantly using AI, giving you a clear risk score and a plain-language breakdown of exactly what looks off. Getting started: Pin PhishGuard to your toolbar (click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome, then the pin next to PhishGuard) so it's easy to find. Click the PhishGuard icon once to open its side panel — this step matters, because the on-page scan button only appears while the panel is open. How to use it: With the side panel open, highlight any suspicious text on a page. A "Scan with PhishGuard" button appears right next to your selection — click it, and the result opens in the side panel: a risk level (low, suspicious, or high risk), a phishing probability, a short summary, and a detailed list of the specific red flags found. Prefer to check something manually? With the panel open, switch between URL Checker and Email Checker mode, paste in the content, and scan on demand. PhishGuard is a helper tool meant to flag common warning signs and support your own judgment — it's not a guarantee that a message is safe or unsafe, and you should always use caution with unexpected links, attachments, or requests for personal information. Note: scanning requires readable page text, so it won't work inside Google Docs or in Chrome's own address bar, since neither exposes text to extensions.
