PhishGuard - Advanced Phishing Detection System This extension represents a modern client-side cybersecurity solution designed to protect users against social engineering attacks. Unlike traditional solutions that rely on static blacklists, PhishGuard leverages the power of Deep Learning to identify new, previously unknown malicious patterns ("zero-day" attacks). Hybrid Architecture: The system integrates two specialized neural models working in parallel: Semantic Analysis (NLP): A Bidirectional LSTM model that "reads" the email body to detect attack-specific language (induced urgency, threats, financial requests). Structural Analysis (URL): A 1D CNN network that scans links at the character level to identify obfuscation, typosquatting (e.g., g00gle.com), and atypical structures. Privacy by Design: Built on TensorFlow.js, the extension executes all calculations locally within the user's browser. No emails and no links ever leave the device, effectively eliminating the risk of personal data leakage to third-party servers.
