Overview
A cyber security awareness, educator and monitoring chrome extension for Gmail to provide that extra layer of assurance.
Phish Alert is a free open-source tool to give users an extra layer of assurance when browsing their emails. It should be said that the extension does not save or send any email or personal data about the user. Its primary function is to silently and unobtrusively scan an email once opened and perform a number of checks against common phishing tactics used by cyber criminals. This information is then presented to the user in a friendly and easy to understand way. The user can optionally allow the extension to actively warn them when it thinks the email is of concern and the frequency and threshold of these warnings is completely customisable. Top Features: - Detect and warn from potential phishing emails - Educate users on what to look for in phishing emails.
