HOW IT WORKS Pattern matching finds PHI (such as names, DOBs, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, SIN, etc.) and masks them with placeholders. The AI gets the placeholders and only your browser can unmask them, so you still get the real values. WHO SEES MY DATA? No one. The text and files you mask stay in your browser. COMMON QUESTIONS How can I see the real values and AI cannot? When masking, PHI Mask will take names such as "Emily Carter" and de-identify them to "EC"; when your browser sees "EC" in the chat, it will know to put the full name back to "Emily Carter".
