Pheno, by RPHU Genetics Lab Pheno is a free Chrome extension that drops a coat-colour genetics report into every Horse Reality horse profile — automatically. Open any horse and Pheno reads its genotype back to you, the way a breeder actually reads a pedigree. Built by RPHU Equine Genetics Testing Lab, overseen by Dr. S. Narky, PhD. WHAT PHENO DOES • Names the coat correctly — including the tricky ones: Grulla/Grullo, Dunskin, Dunalino, Buckskin Pearl, Blue Roan, pangaré, and more. • Decodes the full genotype, locus by locus. • Shows what a horse can pass on — and flags lethal-risk pairings (e.g. frame overo). • Estimates hidden modifiers from the parents (Likely / Possible / Unlikely). • Plan a pairing: pick a sire and a dam and project the foal's colour. PRIVACY FIRST Pheno reads each horse locally in your browser. Nothing about your horses leaves the page unless you opt in to anonymous usage stats and you can turn that off any time.
