SnipFill – Text Snippets

Expand reusable text snippets anywhere in Chrome by typing a shortcut. Supports dates, clipboard and fill-in forms.

Stop typing the same things over and over. SnipFill lets you save reusable text snippets and insert them anywhere in Chrome by typing a short shortcut. Type /sig in an email and your full signature appears. Type /order in a support chat and a complete reply is filled in, with the customer's name and order number asked for in a quick pop-up form. HOW IT WORKS • Create a snippet, give it a shortcut such as /hi or ;addr • Type the shortcut in any text box, email, chat or form • Pause for a moment and SnipFill replaces it with your text FEATURES • Works almost everywhere: text boxes, text areas and rich-text editors such as Gmail and web chat tools • Smart expansion delay: waits until you stop typing, so /trp is never cut short by /tr (adjustable, or set to instant) • Fill-in forms: add text fields, paragraphs, dropdowns and checkboxes; SnipFill asks for the values before inserting, with a live preview • Dynamic dates and times: today's date in any format, plus date maths such as "3 days from now" or "next month" • Clipboard, page URL and page title placeholders • Cursor placement: choose where the cursor lands after inserting • Include one snippet inside another • Quick search: press Ctrl+Shift+Space on any page to search and insert a snippet • Right-click menu: insert a snippet, or save selected text as a new snippet • Toolbar popup: search, insert or copy any snippet • Folders, search and an autosaving editor with a live preview • Backup and restore with JSON or CSV export • Turn SnipFill off on specific websites • Light and dark mode PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your snippets are stored only in your own browser. SnipFill has no account, no servers, no tracking and no analytics. Nothing you type or save is ever sent anywhere.
