ReadOn
Overview
Bookmark a scroll position on any page and pick up reading where you left off.
Mark the spot. Note the thought. Read on. You're halfway through a long article or doc, you close the tab, and next time you can't find where you left off. Regular bookmarks remember the page — not the place on it. ReadOn saves your exact scroll position, so you can jump back to the precise spot in one click. HOW IT WORKS • Reading something long? Click Mark to save where you are — ReadOn even shows how far through the page you got. • Come back anytime and click once to scroll straight back to that spot. • Keep a single mark per page and move it forward as you read on, or save several marks on the same page. WHY YOU'LL WANT IT If you read long-form on the web — documentation, research papers, articles, books, course material — ReadOn turns "wait, where was I?" into a single click. No more scrolling and skimming to relocate your place every time you come back. MORE THAN A BOOKMARK • Add a note to any mark to catch a thought while it's fresh. • "All marks" groups everything by site, right in the popup. • A full manager page lets you search, rename, tag pages by theme across different sites, bulk-delete, and back up or share your marks as a JSON file. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything is stored locally in your browser. No account, no sign-in, no servers, no tracking. Your data only leaves your device if you choose to export it. HOW IT FINDS YOUR SPOT ReadOn combines a scroll ratio with a nearby text anchor, so your saved spot stays accurate even when the page's content shifts around. Mark the spot. Note the thought. Read on.
