Shopify2CSV
Overview
Export a Shopify store's public products to a Shopify-ready CSV.
Shopify2CSV exports a Shopify storefront's public products to a 48-column, Shopify-style comma-separated values (CSV) file directly in your browser. Open a Shopify store page, click the Shopify2CSV toolbar icon, choose whether to export the entire store or a single collection, and download the CSV file. There is no account, external server, analytics script, or paid tier. KEY FEATURES • Export the entire store or pick a specific collection with live collection filtering and product counts. • Produces a 48-column CSV matching the standard Shopify product import header (Handle, Title, Body (HTML), Vendor, Type, Tags, Options, Variant SKU, Grams, Price, Compare At Price, Images, and import defaults). • Writes UTF-8 with a byte order mark (BOM) and CRLF line endings so spreadsheet software opens international characters cleanly. • Polite, serial pagination (250 products per page, minimum 1.5s spacing) that honors HTTP 429 Retry-After headers and exponential backoff. • Pause, Resume, or Save partial CSV (`_partial.csv`) if rate-limited or interrupted — incomplete exports are never mislabeled as complete files. • Optional product-image archive: turn on Download images (.zip) to pack photos into one ZIP after the CSV, named by product handle or original file name, capped at 500 MB. • Runs locally inside the active store tab using only `activeTab` and `scripting` permissions. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open any public Shopify storefront in Chrome or Edge. 2. Click the Shopify2CSV icon in the toolbar. 3. Choose "Entire store" or select "One collection" from the detected collections list. 4. Optionally turn on Download images (.zip) and choose image file names. 5. Click Export and keep the store tab open; the CSV downloads first, then the image archive if you asked for it. NOTES ON PUBLIC STOREFRONT DATA The exporter reads the storefront's public JSON endpoints (`/products.json` and `/collections/{handle}/products.json`). Fields that are not exposed in the public feed — such as exact inventory quantities, barcodes, cost per item, and SEO metadata — are left blank, while Variant Inventory Policy (`deny`), Variant Fulfillment Service (`manual`), Variant Weight Unit (`g`), and Status (`active`) use standard import defaults. Review these columns before importing into another store. PRIVACY All requests go directly from your browser tab to the store you are viewing. No product data, browsing history, or personal data is sent to the extension developer or any third party.
