Autoguessr (worldguessr hint)

Drops a pin on WorldGuessr and GeoGuessr, shows country, compass, and city, and can press Guess and Play Again.

Shows the country, compass direction, and city for the current WorldGuessr round. Description: See where you are in WorldGuessr/GeoGuessr — without spoiling the fun. Street View Hint adds a quiet overlay on worldguessr.com and geoguessr.com with three clues for the current round: • Country • Compass area (northwest, central, southeast, and the rest) • City Toggle only what you want. Open the extension popup to turn each piece on or off: • Hints — the corner overlay • Drop pin on the map — places your guess near the real spot • Zoom to the area — centers the map for you Closest and Farthest control how far the pin may sit from the true location. Leave them at 10 km and 20 km for a ring around the spot, or set both to 0 km for the exact point. After the pin drops, you can still move it — the extension never presses Guess. How it works: The extension reads the round from the Street View embed, looks up place names with OpenStreetMap Nominatim, and shows a compass sector that matches how the guess map is laid out. Large cities are measured from the city center; smaller places from the country center. Coordinates stay off the screen. A line of … means the lookup is still running. “na” means that part is not available yet (for example, no city in the data). Privacy & attribution: No account and no API key. Lookups are cached on your computer and paced to one request per second. Place names and borders are © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
