Google Photos has no “Select all”. Deleting a year of screenshots means shift-clicking your way down the page, one screenful at a time, waiting for each batch. Downloading originals means opening photos one by one. Adding a watermark to fifty pictures means fifty trips through the editor. This extension adds the bulk tools Google Photos leaves out — free, with no limits, no account and no payment. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ■ CHOOSE WHAT TO WORK ON • Select all in scope — walks your whole library, not just the screenful in view • Filter by media type — photos, videos, animations, screenshots, collages or motion photos • Filter by date range — any window, with a calendar you can drive by month and year • Invert or clear — flip the selection, or hand it straight back to Google • Or use Google's own circles — tick photos by hand and the toolkit follows. It draws no checkboxes of its own and changes nothing about the page until you ask it to. ■ GET YOUR PHOTOS OUT • Download originals — full quality, keeping the filenames Google gave them, into a folder you name under Downloads • One ZIP archive — bundle a whole selection into a single file, built in your browser • Extract video frames — pull stills out of a video at an interval you choose No cap on how many files. No “upgrade to continue” after the first fifty. ■ EDIT EVERY PHOTO AT ONCE • Crop to preset aspect ratios, rotate in quarter turns • Auto-enhance, and filters: black & white, vivid, vintage, warm, cool • Adjustments: brightness, contrast, saturation, vignette, HDR, white point, black point, skin tone, blue tone • Watermark with your own text or logo — position, size, opacity, colour and shadow • Write a caption into the file • Export as JPEG, PNG or WebP at the quality you choose • Save any look as a preset and reuse it on future selections • Copy and paste edits between panels Edits are rendered in your browser and saved as new files. Your originals in Google Photos are left untouched. ■ ORGANISE AND TIDY • Add to an album — new or existing, without a page reload • Write descriptions in bulk — set or append across a whole selection • Revert to original — undo Google's own edits across a selection • Move to trash — recoverable in Google Photos for 60 days ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ DELETES YOU CAN ACTUALLY TRUST ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The common failure in this category is a tool that reports success without doing anything — it counts the clicks it made, not the photos that actually left. This one checks. After each delete it confirms the photo is genuinely gone from your library, waits for the grid to settle, checks again, and reconciles the whole batch at the end. If four of twelve failed, it says four failed and offers to retry those four. It will not tell you it deleted something it did not delete. The same principle runs through the rest: bulk descriptions are written to Google and read back before they are counted as done. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ HOW IT WORKS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Open photos.google.com 2. Press the toolkit's button in Google's own header, beside Create and Help 3. Choose what to work on — by media type, by date, or by hand 4. An action bar appears with everything above Until you press that button, the page is exactly as Google renders it. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • No account. No sign-in. No server of ours in the middle. • Your photos are never uploaded anywhere. Downloads go straight from Google to your computer, and edits are rendered locally in your browser. • The extension reports anonymous usage — which actions were run, how many items, whether they succeeded, and how long they took. It never sends file names, photo data, descriptions, album names or your account. You can switch it off in the extension's popup. • Bug reports are sent only when you press Report, and contain what you typed plus your version, browser and settings. Leaving an email address there is optional and only used to reply. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PERMISSIONS, AND WHY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • photos.google.com — to add the toolbar and read the grid you are selecting from. This is the only site the extension runs on. • googleusercontent.com — where Google serves your actual image and video files, so downloads can fetch them. • downloads — optional, and only requested when you first save something. • storage — to remember your settings and presets on your own machine. There is no “read your browsing history”, no analytics on other sites, and no host permission beyond the two above. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ GOOD TO KNOW ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Deleting moves items to Google's trash, where they stay recoverable for 60 days. Nothing is destroyed immediately. • Bulk edit exports copies.
