TwitchLite

A lightweight Twitch viewer focused on reducing unnecessary browser resource usage.

TwitchLite is a lightweight, customizable Twitch viewer designed to provide a minimal interface that reduces memory usage by removing unnecessary clutter. There are multiple viewing modes built around different levels of functionality and resource usage: [Lite Mode] keeps things simple with the stream, chat, and third-party emotes while minimizing unnecessary features. [Balanced Mode] adds useful Twitch features like followed channels and channel search while maintaining a lightweight viewing experience. [Custom Mode] lets you choose exactly which features you want enabled, including chat, followed channels, and support for third-party emotes. Features include: - Lightweight, low resource Twitch viewing - Lite, Balanced, and Custom modes - 7TV, BetterTTV, and FrankerFaceZ emote support - Followed channels - Channel search - Customizable emote settings - Minimal, distraction-free interface In our benchmark, TwitchLite used substantially less memory on average than the standard Twitch website. Actual memory usage varies depending on stream quality, chat activity, animated emotes, browser extensions, hardware, and other factors. TwitchLite is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch.
