A markdown scratchpad one click away on the toolbar. No account, no network, data stays on your machine.

A markdown scratchpad one click away on the toolbar — for prompts, snippets, meeting notes and everything you would otherwise paste into a notepad. Click the icon (or press Alt+Shift+S, Option+Shift+S on a Mac) and you are back in the draft you left, caret where you left it. There is no save button: every keystroke is kept, even if you close the tab right away. WRITE MARKDOWN, SEE IT RENDERED • Syntax highlighting while you type, with the markers left visible • A side-by-side preview, or the rendered page alone for reading: GitHub-flavoured markdown (tables, task lists, footnotes, strikethrough), code highlighting, LaTeX maths through KaTeX, mermaid diagrams and :emoji: shortcodes • Embedded HTML is sanitized with GitHub's rules before it is shown KEEP MANY DRAFTS, FIND THEM FAST • Each draft is titled by its first line — no dialog asking for a name • Drafts grouped by day in a sidebar • Full-text search you can drive from the keyboard alone • Copy a whole draft, or export it as a .md file PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION • No account, no sync, no analytics, no telemetry • No network requests at all — the extension's content security policy forbids them, so even a remote image in a draft is not loaded • Drafts stay in your Chrome profile, on your machine • One permission: storage SHORTCUTS Alt+Shift+S (Option+Shift+S on a Mac) opens the scratchpad from anywhere in Chrome (change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts).
