Overview
Puts the doc where the decision happens. Your own banners and links on the tools you can't change. Private by default.
Pete of Success shows a banner, or adds a link, on pages you don't own — a cloud console, an internal admin panel, a wiki, a SaaS dashboard — driven by rules you write yourself. The context someone needs usually lives somewhere else. In Confluence, in a README, in a Slack thread from eight months ago. Never on the screen where the decision is actually being made. This puts it there. It never blocks anything. It has no opinion about what you do next. It just makes sure you knew. TWO KINDS OF RULE — banner and link, each described concretely. WRITING A RULE — the picker, and the fact that the click never reaches the page, so picking a "Delete" button deletes nothing. That detail does a lot of work: it's the thing that makes an unfamiliar reader trust the extension. YOUR DATA — its own section, because on an extension asking for access to every site the "no network requests of any kind" story is a selling point rather than a footnote. It also closes with "the source is unbundled and readable, so none of the above has to be taken on trust". NOT THERE YET — that rules are local to one browser today.
