Keep a clear record of the water you measure for your cat or dog. Pet Water Calculator & Tracker gives you a weight-based reference and a place to save your own observations, all in your browser. Start with a pet profile Add a name, choose cat or dog, and enter a weight in lb or kg. The reference explains its source and limits. You can keep separate profiles for up to 30 pets. Keep food water separate The cat reference includes water in food. If you have a complete 24-hour food record, enter the amount actually eaten and the label's moisture percentage to estimate food water. The dog drinking reference lists food water separately. Food entries are temporary and are not saved in backups. Record what you measure Enter the observation date, hours, starting water, added water, water left, and known spills or discarded water. Use mL, US fl oz, or US cups. Mark shared bowls or incomplete observations. The result is an estimated water decrease for that period; it does not prove how much one pet drank. Short periods are never scaled up to a full day. Review and correct records Filter by date, Today, or Last 7 days. Open a record to see its original measurements, edit a mistake, or delete it. You can undo the last single-record deletion in the same window until saved pet data changes. Overlapping observations are not combined into daily totals. The extension holds up to 2,000 observations across your profiles. Keep your own copies Export one pet's observations as CSV for reading, or all pet profiles and records as a JSON backup for restoring. JSON import replaces all pet data after confirmation. The files are plain text. Back up before uninstalling or changing browsers; there is no cloud sync. Unsaved entries are lost when their window closes. Works offline English, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese are included. Choose a language or follow your browser. Profiles, observations, and preferences stay in this browser profile. There are no accounts, analytics, ads, website access, or extension network requests. The only permission is storage. Use the reference with care These are general references for healthy adult pets, not a diagnosis, drinking limit, or medical fluid plan. Keep fresh water available. Food labels, unmeasured spills, evaporation, and shared bowls limit what you can infer. Ask your veterinarian about sudden changes in thirst or urination.
