Pest Blocker
Overview
Blocks selected domains at network layer and prevents surprise popups/new tabs.
Pest Blocker – Network Blocking & Popup Control Pest Blocker is a browser extension that allows users to block unwanted domains at the network level and prevent deceptive pop-ups and unexpected new tabs. The extension applies user-defined rules to control which domains are allowed to load and which popup behaviors are permitted. All functionality operates locally within the browser and is initiated by user configuration. Features: - Blocks selected domains using Chrome’s declarative network request system; - Prevents cross-site and deceptive popup or new-tab behavior; - Enforces a same-site popup policy with optional user-defined exceptions; - Allows users to quickly block or allow sites from the extension menu; - Supports per-site popup exceptions for legitimate login or payment flows; - Includes temporary disable controls with automatic re-enable; - Provides a local activity log explaining blocked events; - User interface follows the browser’s light or dark theme. Operation Pest Blocker does not analyze page content or perform tracking. It reacts to navigation and popup events in real time to enforce rules defined by the user. All settings and lists are stored locally using Chrome’s extension storage APIs. Privacy Pest Blocker does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data. No analytics, tracking technologies, or remote code are used. Intended audience This extension is intended for users who want direct, transparent control over unwanted domains and popup behavior without installing a full content-blocking suite.
