Optional Chrome and Edge companion for your self-hosted Personal Vault.

Personal Vault is a browser companion for your own self-hosted Personal Vault server. It helps you find the right saved login for the site you are visiting, review it, and fill it when you choose. YOUR VAULT, YOUR SERVER Run the Personal Vault server yourself and connect the extension to a workspace. The extension retrieves the encrypted vault and decrypts it locally after you enter your workspace password. Your workspace password is used only for local decryption. LOG IN WITH INTENTION • See saved logins that match the current site and search across all saved logins. • Review a username and password before using them. • Fill the current page only after you select a login and choose Fill login. The extension does not submit the page’s form. • Copy a username or password when you request it. • Generate a strong password locally and choose its length and character types. • Lock the vault when you are done. Unlocking lasts for the current browser session. Use Ctrl+Shift+L (macOS: Command+Shift+L) to cycle through logins matching the current site. Open the extension popup with Ctrl+Shift+U (macOS: Command+Shift+U). WHAT YOU NEED This extension is a companion, not a hosted password service. You need a running Personal Vault server, a workspace, and an access grant created by that server. See the official website for setup and Docker instructions. PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS The extension communicates with the Personal Vault server you configure. It stores the server address and access grant locally in your browser, and keeps unlock key material in browser session storage. It asks for page access when you choose to fill a login, and clipboard access when you choose to copy a value. Password generation runs locally.
