Keep your Perplexity research as Markdown files you can save, search, and use in Obsidian. Export a single chat, choose specific threads, or back up your full history. Your conversation text, citations, and source links stay together. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Choose your export: save the current chat, selected threads, or your full history. • Find the right threads: search titles and slugs, then select what you need. • Pause and resume: bulk-export progress is saved after each thread. • Review Failed Sessions: see chats that could not be exported and open their links to try again. • Use your notes in Obsidian: exports include YAML frontmatter, dates, chat links, and numbered sources matching inline citations. • Keep processing local: the extension runs in your browser using your existing Perplexity login. No API key, paywall, or analytics. GET STARTED 1. Sign in to Perplexity and open the extension. 2. Choose Export This Thread, Select Threads to Export, or Export All Threads. 3. Save your Markdown files from your Downloads folder into Obsidian or any Markdown tool. Keep the Perplexity tab open while exporting. You can close and reopen the popup to check progress. If Chrome asks to download multiple files, choose Allow. Failed Sessions lists reported export errors. Links stay on this device until the next export or until you clear the list; resuming keeps the list. Open a failed chat and use Export This Thread to try again.
