Great extension, I use it together with TinaMind. TinaMind is for chatting and writing, while Perplexity is for searching.

Initial review: Yes, it does answer questions about the current page or current domain -- you have to click on "Focus" and select either "This Page" or "This Domain" or All (the Internet). It does seem to do better answering "This Page" than "This Domain", though sometimes it gave answers for "This Domain" with references from several pages on the current domain.
