Permafeed
Overview
Freeze your YouTube home feed so it stops regenerating on navigation, plus a searchable log of videos you've seen on Home.
YouTube rebuilds your home feed every time you navigate away and come back. You spot a video, click away without opening it, return, and it's gone, with no setting to stop it. Permafeed fixes that. FREEZE Turn on Freeze and the home feed you last saw stays put, across in-app navigation and full page reloads, until you choose to refresh. It restores your scroll position, holds even when YouTube tries to re-render, and freezes on the first visit without you clicking into anything. A floating Refresh button (and a button in the popup) loads fresh videos whenever you want them. RECENTLY SEEN Permafeed also keeps a searchable log of every video that has passed through your home feed: thumbnail, title, channel, link, and when you saw it. Even if the feed changed, you can find "that video I saw ten minutes ago." It works in any mode and can be turned off. DEFAULT MODE Prefer vanilla YouTube? Default mode is a clean kill switch that does nothing. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no servers. Everything is stored locally in your browser. The only network requests are video thumbnails, loaded from YouTube's own image servers. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
