PerkPop surfaces cashback offers inline on Google Search results so you never miss savings.

PerkPop is a lightweight Chrome extension that detects supported online merchants in your Google Search results and displays a small cashback offer banner directly inline — so you see the savings opportunity before you even click through. How it works: • Open Google Search and search for anything you might want to buy. • If a supported merchant appears in the results, PerkPop injects a subtle cashback badge right next to that result. • No clicks, no popups, no redirects — the offer is just there. Privacy-first by design: • No account required. No sign-in. • No data collection of any kind. • Your search queries are never read, stored, or transmitted. • The merchant registry is bundled locally with the extension. • Chrome storage is used only to cache offer labels on your device for one hour. Permissions used: • storage — to cache offer data locally on your device. • google.com — to read merchant domain names from search result links and inject the cashback badge. This is an open-source portfolio project demonstrating Manifest V3 extension architecture, Shadow DOM UI injection, and configuration-driven merchant detection.
