Collect logged-in AI conversations into local Pentou.

Pentou Collector captures AI chat conversations from the web and sends them to your local Pentou app — a local-first AI conversation manager. WHAT IT DOES • One-click collect: open a supported conversation page, click the extension icon, and the chat is saved to Pentou • Optional auto-collect: after you idle on a chat (or leave/close the tab), capture automatically — off by default, per platform • Offline queue: if Pentou is not running, captures are queued locally and retried later • Clear feedback: toolbar badge shows NEW / UPD / SKIP / ERR; optional system notifications on manual collect SUPPORTED PLATFORMS (v0.1) • ChatGPT — chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com conversation pages • DeepSeek — chat.deepseek.com conversation pages More platforms may be added in later versions. Platform APIs change over time; if a site stops working, update Pentou first (parsing lives in the app), then the extension if needed. HOW TO SET UP 1. Install and run Pentou on your computer (local server) 2. Open extension Options 3. Set Pentou server (e.g. http://localhost:5173) and paste your Ingest token from Pentou Settings → Capture 4. Click Test connection until it shows Connected 5. Open a supported chat page and click the toolbar icon PRIVACY & DATA • Conversations are sent only to the Pentou server URL you configure (typically localhost) • This extension does not upload chats to any third-party cloud or to the extension authors • Your ingest token is stored in Chrome local storage and is used only to authenticate /api/ingest writes • Auto-collect never runs unless you turn it on for a specific platform REQUIREMENTS • A running Pentou instance and a valid ingest token • You must be logged into the AI site in the browser (the extension uses your existing session to fetch the official conversation API) Pentou is local-first software: browse, search, annotate, and manage AI conversations on your own machine. 0.1.1 — Remove unused "tabs" permission (Chrome Web Store Purple Potassium). Capture behavior unchanged; messaging and open-from-notification use activeTab + host_permissions only.
