Overview
Create Pellet tasks and notes from webpages, selected text, and Gmail emails.
Save anything you find in your browser straight into Pellet, the notes and task manager that keeps your vault as plain Markdown files on your own computer. WHAT IT DOES • Turn the page you're on into a task or a note, from the toolbar button or the right-click menu. • Select text and save it as a task, or as a quoted note that links back to the page. • Capture a whole article as clean Markdown for offline reading. Code blocks keep their language, documentation tip and warning boxes become callouts, and YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify and Apple Podcasts players become player cards. • Optionally save a captured page's images into your vault, so the note reads fully offline. • In Gmail, click the ✓ Pellet button on an open email to make it a task that links back to the message. • Pick a Kanban board, group, priority, tags and due date as you create, and open the new item in Pellet with one click. PRIVATE BY DESIGN The extension talks only to the Pellet app running on your own computer, through its local address (127.0.0.1). It has no servers of its own, no analytics, no tracking and no ads. Nothing you save is sent to the developer or anyone else. It reads a page only when you ask it to. REQUIREMENTS • The Pellet desktop app, running on the same computer while you use the extension. Download it at https://getpellet.app. • In Pellet: Settings › AI & MCP › turn on Enable local API. • Copy this extension's origin from its Options page and paste it into Pellet under Settings › AI & MCP › Allowed origins. Then click Test connection in Options.
