Overview

Translate text, webpages and WhatsApp drafts with Chrome’s on-device AI, on supported desktop devices.

Translate typed text, readable webpages and WhatsApp Web drafts with Chrome’s on-device APIs. Text updates automatically after a short pause. Use full-page or line-by-line bilingual translation, searchable language lists, favorites and model downloads. WhatsApp assistance is optional and never sends messages for you. Translation text and drafts are not sent to the developer or saved as history. Preferences and chat identifiers may be stored locally. Requires compatible desktop Chrome 138+, available built-in AI APIs and language models; Chrome may download models. Interface: English, Spanish, Simplified and Traditional Chinese; other interface languages use English. Translation targets are independent. All features in this release are free.
