Turn the sound of any browser tab into live captions, translated while people speak. LiveToka listens to the audio itself, so it works on videos and live streams that have no subtitles, online courses, webinars and podcasts, and on web meetings in Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the tab with the video, stream or meeting. 2. Click the LiveToka button, choose the spoken language and the language to translate into, and click Start captions. 3. Captions appear on the page: each sentence in the original language with its translation underneath. Words appear while the person is still speaking, and the translation is written out about a second after the sentence ends. FEATURES • No subtitles needed – the audio is transcribed directly, including live streams. • Bilingual captions – original and translation together, or translation only. • Speech recognition in 55+ languages plus bilingual modes (Mandarin & English, Spanish & English, Malay & English, Tamil & English); translation into 100+ languages. PRICING The extension uses your LiveToka account (sign in with Google). New accounts get 10 free minutes. Translation uses minutes at twice the rate of captions only, so 10 free minutes = 10 minutes of captions or 5 minutes of translation. PRIVACY Audio is captured only from the tab where you click Start captions, and the microphone only if you choose it. The audio is sent encrypted to LiveToka for transcription and translation and is not stored. Transcripts are saved to your LiveToka history only if you keep "Save to my LiveToka history" on.
