Peel
Overview
Capture screenshots — viewport, full page, or specific elements
Peel is a precise screenshot tool for Chrome. Whether you need a quick snapshot of the visible page or want to extract a single element with its background removed, Peel gives you the control to capture exactly what you want. Four capture modes: - Viewport — instant screenshot of what's currently visible - Full Page — scrolls and stitches the entire page into one image, top to bottom - Region — drag to select any rectangular area of the page - Element — hover to highlight, click to select, then use the slider to walk up the DOM and capture exactly the right element Other key features: - Transparent background — Element captures use a two-pass technique to extract true alpha transparency. No background, no clipping, no manual editing. The result is a clean PNG ready to drop into any design tool. - Trim transparent pixels: Automatically crops transparent padding from the captured element so you get a tight, clean result every time. - High-DPI ready: Fully Retina and HiDPI aware — captures are sharp on any display. - Dark mode: The popup follows your system theme automatically. The preview page includes a manual toggle. All captures stay local. Nothing leaves your browser.
