Overview
See which objects a Salesforce Permission Set actually grants access to, at a glance.
Stop clicking into a dozen sections just to find out what a Permission Set actually does. Both of Salesforce's stock Permission Set pages have the same problem: they show you *everything configurable*, not what's actually granted. The Object Settings page lists every object in your org — often 300, 500, or 900+ rows — with the vast majority reading "No Access." The Overview page just lists section names as links (Object Settings, Apex Class Access, Flow Access, Custom Permissions, and more), with no summary of what's inside any of them. Either way, finding out what a Permission Set really does means clicking around and scanning by eye. PermView fixes both. **On Object Settings**, a sticky summary bar appears above the native table: - **See what's granted, instantly.** A live count ("18 of 940 objects granted") and a scrollable list of just the objects with real access — Object Name, API Name, Object Permissions, Total Fields, and Tab Settings, same as the native columns, no scrolling through noise. - **Find an object fast.** A dedicated search box checks only the objects that currently have *no* access, so you can quickly confirm whether an object needs to be added to this Permission Set. - **Click through like normal.** Every row links to the exact same native Salesforce page a click on the original table row would. **On the Overview page**, a summary panel breaks down every category — Objects, Apex Class Access, Visualforce Page Access, Flow Access, Custom Permissions, System Permissions, and Assigned Apps — showing only what's granted, with a one-click link straight to each native section for the full detail. Categories with nothing granted collapse out of the way instead of competing for your attention. **Built for how admins actually work:** - Zero configuration. Install it, open either page, and the summary appears. - Handles Setup's single-page navigation cleanly — switch Permission Sets without needing to reload. - Fully keyboard-navigable and screen-reader friendly. PermView has no server, doesn't phone home, and doesn't collect analytics. See our full privacy policy for details. PermView is a free tool built by [CloudVille](https://cloudville.uk), a Salesforce consultancy, to give back to the admin community we work alongside every day.
