Overview

Convert images to PDF and merge PDFs — entirely on your device. No uploads, no sign-in, no tracking.

Convert. Merge. Optimize. Done. PDFCraft turns images into PDF and merges PDFs together — all inside your browser. Your files stay on your device because PDFCraft processes them locally without uploading them to a remote server. Your files stay on your device. PDFCraft does not upload your files to a conversion server, requires no account, and installs with no Chrome permission warning. WHAT IT DOES • Convert images to PDF from common image formats • Merge multiple PDFs into one • Combine images and PDFs in a single document, in any order • Reorder files with drag-and-drop or keyboard controls • Choose your own PDF filename before downloading • Optimize image data before embedding it into the PDF • Download your finished PDF locally HOW IT WORKS PDFCraft processes your files locally in your browser. Your documents and images do not need to be uploaded to a remote conversion service. That means: • Your files stay on your device • No account or sign-in is required • No conversion server is required • Converting and merging work without an internet connection • Chrome shows no permission warning when you install it ABOUT OPTIMIZE Optimize is optional and is designed for image data before it is embedded into the generated PDF. When enabled, PDFCraft can re-encode image data and reduce the resolution of images that are much larger than necessary for the page. Optimization can be lossy, so it is off by default. The amount of size reduction depends on the files you provide. PDFCraft reports the measured input and output sizes rather than promising a fixed compression percentage. In the free version, pages copied from an existing PDF are not recompressed — they are embedded exactly as they are, so merging PDFs alone will not make them smaller. PDFCraft Pro can recompress the images inside them. PDFCRAFT PRO Everything above is free, with no limits, no watermark and no trial period. The free version produces exactly the same PDF it always has. Pro is an optional upgrade that adds three things: • A choice of compression level, instead of the single built-in setting • The option to recompress the images inside a PDF you are merging, which the free version deliberately leaves untouched • Choosing which pages to take from a PDF, instead of all of them Pro is unlocked with a licence key you enter once. There is still no account and no sign-in. The key is checked with Freemius, our payment provider, and that check is the only network request PDFCraft ever makes. Your documents are not part of it and never leave your device on either version. A licence covers one installation at a time, and you can move it between installations from your Freemius account. GOOD TO KNOW • Jobs are limited to 250 MB total input and 150 files for browser reliability • HEIC images are not currently supported • Animated GIFs use their first frame • Password-protected PDFs are not supported • Damaged PDFs are rejected rather than producing an incomplete result • PDFCraft merges PDFs faithfully and does not sanitize embedded PDF content PRIVACY FIRST PDFCraft has no account system, no cloud conversion, and no file-upload service. Your files are processed locally in your browser. The only thing PDFCraft ever sends is a Pro licence check: your licence key, a random number generated on your device, and the product name — sent to our payment provider after you enter a key, and never before. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. CHANGELOG Version 2.0.0 • New: PDFCraft Pro, an optional paid upgrade • Pro: choose between three compression levels instead of one • Pro: recompress the images inside PDFs you merge • Pro: take a page range out of a PDF instead of every page • The free version is unchanged — same features, no limits, no watermark • A licence key is checked with our payment provider; your files are still never uploaded Version 1.0.1 • Popup now says when Chrome closed it behind the file picker • Option to continue in a full tab when that happens • File list announced properly to screen readers • Still no account, no uploads, no permissions Version 1.0.0 • Initial release • Image-to-PDF conversion for common image formats • Merge multiple PDF files into one • Combine images and PDFs in a custom order • Drag-and-drop and keyboard file reordering • Optional image optimization • Custom PDF filename • Local, browser-based processing
