BrowserControl
Overview
Let shell-capable AI agents drive this browser via the bctl CLI, in a separate Agent Window, with your existing logins.
BrowserControl lets a shell-capable AI agent control Chrome through the local bctl command-line tool. It opens a separate Agent Window and shows a BrowserControl badge with a Stop button on controlled tabs. A browser tab can be added to a session with an explicit borrow command and returned when the session ends. Use it to navigate, inspect page text and structure, click, fill forms, scroll, capture screenshots and PDFs, and troubleshoot with console and network information. The tab-list command can show the titles and URLs of open tabs in the connected profile so you can choose a tab to borrow. Setup requires the separate BrowserControl bctl CLI and local daemon. Run the daemon on the same computer and open the extension popup to confirm it is connected. Data handling: To perform requested tasks, BrowserControl processes page content, tab URLs and titles, and debugging information. Its cookie command returns names and metadata, with values omitted from that command’s output. The extension sends results over loopback to the local bctl daemon. BrowserControl has no developer-operated server or analytics. If you connect a separate AI agent or tool, its handling of CLI output is governed by that tool.
