Overview

Use Flip Video to mirror video on YouTube, TikTok and more, or mirror webcam in Google Meet, Zoom and Teams on the web. One click.

Flip Video is a one-click video flipper for Chrome. Mirror video on YouTube and other sites, or mirror your webcam view in browser calls such as Google Meet. It all happens right in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. 🚀 How it works in 3 steps 1. Open a page with a clip, or join a call. 2. Click the extension icon in the toolbar or press Alt+Shift+F (⌥ Option+Shift+F on Mac). 3. Every player on the tab changes at once. Click again to undo. 🙋 Why I built it My webcam showed my shirt print backwards in every call. Then I started noticing the same thing in clips: reversed signs and captions that are hard to read, or a car with the driver on the right, as if the whole clip was shot in Australia. It kept bugging me, so I made a one-click fix that works both ways: turn a clip around, or put a reversed one back. 🎯 Who it is for 1️⃣ Dance, yoga and workout tutorials: most of them are filmed facing the camera, so the instructor's right hand is on your left. Mirror mode puts it back on your right. 2️⃣ Music lessons: copy guitar or piano hand positions without swapping sides in your head. 3️⃣ Sign language and craft lessons: see every gesture from your own point of view. 4️⃣ Left-handed learners: watch a right-handed teacher as if they used your hand. Great for crochet, knitting, macramé, cooking and guitar. 5️⃣ Calls and online classes: a webcam mirror makes text on your shirt, a whiteboard or a document camera readable in your own preview. 6️⃣ Mirrored reposts: a mirrored video is often a reupload flipped on purpose. One click puts text, logos and steering wheels back where they belong. ▸ How to flip youtube videos and Shorts Learning a dance from a YouTube lesson? Flip YouTube players, Shorts and playlists in one click. Searching how to mirror youtube videos usually leads to download sites and editors. Here you just click the icon. ▸ How to flip video on TikTok and other sites The same way: open the clip and click the icon, no download needed. 📹 Video calls in the browser ➤ Google Meet already shows your self-view mirrored. One click flips it back, so you see yourself exactly as others do. ➤ The same click works as a google meet mirror extension for everyone else's tiles. ➤ Zoom for Web and Microsoft Teams work the same way. ➤ New tiles that appear when someone joins change automatically. ➤ The google meet mirror video is only on your screen. Other people still get your normal camera. 🔒 Privacy • The change is purely visual and runs on your device. • No account, no tracking, no data collected. • No install warning about reading all your data on all websites. The extension acts only on the tab where you click it. ⚡ What you get - One click or one shortcut to flip videos on the whole tab. - A flip horizontal mode for every player, call tile and embed on the page. - The effect stays on through ad breaks and the next clip in a playlist. - Clear state: the icon turns solid with a green dot while it is on. - Lightweight: it is only a display change, so nothing is re-encoded and the page does not slow down. 💡 Flip video online, without an editor Most guides on how to mirror a video assume you want a new file: open an editor or a flip video app, edit, export, wait. Often you just want to watch the clip the other way round. This extension does exactly that in the player you already have open. It is a video mirror chrome extension, not a converter, so nothing is saved to disk. Want to flip video horizontally while you watch? Click the icon. 📌 FAQ ❓ Does it work on any site? 💡 Open the page and click the toolbar icon. All players on the tab change, including the ones that load later. ❓ How to flip a video back to normal? 💡 Click the icon or press Alt+Shift+F (⌥⇧F on Mac) again to turn it off. ❓ Will other people in my call see me mirrored? 💡 No. The webcam mirror changes only your own view of the page. ❓ Someone is sharing their screen and the text is backwards. Why? 💡 Every player on the tab changes, and that includes a shared screen. Press Alt+Shift+F to switch it off while they present, then press it again. ❓ Does it save or download the clip? 💡 No. It only changes how the picture looks on your screen. It does not export or record anything. ❓ Can it flip vertically or rotate? 💡 Not yet. The current version does a horizontal flip only. ❓ Does it work in the Zoom or Teams desktop app? 💡 No, only in Chrome tabs. Open the meeting in the browser, for example via Join from your browser in Zoom. ❓ Where else does it not work? 💡 Chrome pages and the Chrome Web Store are protected by the browser. Picture-in-Picture windows show the original picture for now. 🎬 Add Flip Video to Chrome and mirror any clip in one click, whenever you need it.
