TaskBuddy

A beautiful new tab with Google search, bookmarks, shortcuts, tasks, reminders and animated buddies. By MRehan.

TaskBuddy turns your new tab into a living homepage. Google search, clock and date, your bookmarks bar and shortcuts stay right where you expect them — on a cinematic wallpaper — while animated buddies live on your screen: walking, flying, cycling, dancing and chatting, each one looking after one of your tasks. YOUR TASKS, AS LIVING CARDS Every task becomes its own card on your homepage — drag it anywhere, complete, edit or delete it right there. Give each card its own background colour (12 presets, any custom colour, or automatic rotation so every card looks different), and the text colour adjusts itself for perfect contrast. THREE MODES, ONE TASK LIST • Normal — Chrome's clean native new tab, with your reminders still running • Creative — the full cinematic homepage with floating task cards and buddies • Dashboard — a focused grid view with filters (All, Pending, Upcoming, Overdue, Completed), search, sorting and drag-to-reorder REMINDERS THAT FIND YOU Your buddies carry deadline signs to the reminder board, and notifications arrive 60, 30, 10, 3 and 1 minute before a deadline (or on your own custom schedule) — with Complete and Snooze buttons right in the notification. Quiet hours included. MAKE IT YOURS • 50 designs, 50 cinematic wallpapers and 50 card styles — each one a genuinely different layout • One Theme colour in Settings recolours the whole extension; the shades are derived automatically • 30 toolbar popup styles and a design library with a custom design creator • 30 original characters with personalities — every task gets its own buddy, and when you have no tasks, six buddies keep you company PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays on your device. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. TaskBuddy never saves your searches. The only optional network feature is Google search suggestions, requested only when you start typing.
